Welcome to the world of Gravity! 

Gravity is a new way of dealing with earthquakes.
"It's never been done!" True !
... and it could be a good starting point!

We have always considered that a "wall",
to be solid, must be a united and compact block ... Are you sure?

Gravity goes beyond the concept of "wall" as a compact and supportive structure,
it does not use resistance or resilience to resist earthquakes ...
... in reality it does not "resist" earthquakes 
but uses their strength to mitigate their effects. 

Within a Gravity wall, once built, each single element remains independent and free to move, allowing the whole structure to oppose  earthquakes utilising the force of its only strongest antagonist, the force of gravity.

We get this, through

1) the specific shape of the elements
2) their positioning in a lozenge configuration
3) the elimination of mortars, binders and locking joints
And...

... and the insertion in the elements of a specific play of pins and grooves that never blocks the elements, always leaving them free to slide one into the other, as wheels and rails in a railway, 
always aligned along the axes of the wall and forced to go up along the system of transversal planes created by the surrounding elements positioned in lozenges,

allowing the force of gravity to unfold all its contrasting power, with a constant action that tends to bring each element back to its original position, at the center of the wedge created by the underlying elements, in every single instant, at the end of every single thrust.
